How to Make a Group Video Call on Yapie

Family catch-ups, study sessions and quick team syncs all work best face to face. Here's how to get everyone on one call.

#Option 1 — From the Calls tab

1. Open **Calls**. 2. Tap **New call** (or the video icon at the top). 3. Select the people you want — one person or several. 4. Choose **Video** (or **Voice**) and tap **Call 3 people**.

Yapie creates a small group named after the participants (📞 Ali, Sara, Zoe) and starts the call. You can reuse that group next time.

#Option 2 — From a group chat

Open the group and tap the **video** or **phone** icon at the top. Members get a ring and can join.

#In the call

- **Mute / unmute** your microphone. - **Camera on/off**. - **Share screen** — even in voice calls. - **Raise hand** to ask to speak. - **Reactions** to respond without interrupting. - Hosts can **mute everyone**.

#Tips for smooth group calls

- Use **Wi-Fi** when possible. - **Mute** when you're not speaking. - If video stutters, switch your camera off — audio and screen sharing keep working. - Use **headphones** to avoid echo.

#Calls ask before ringing

By default, Yapie asks you to confirm before ringing people, so nobody gets surprised by an accidental video call. Change this in **Settings › Chats & appearance**.
