Yapie Wallet — send money in a chat, top up and cash out with agents
Add credit online or at a Yapie agent, send it to anyone in a chat, split bills with money packets, tip creators and cash out through agents — protected by a wallet PIN.
How it works
- Top up — pay online, or hand cash to a Yapie agent who credits your wallet on the spot.
- Send — open a chat, tap the attachment button and choose Transfer or a money packet to share with a group.
- Cash out — visit an agent, who pays you cash and receives the credits.
Agents
Agents are verified shops and individuals who exchange cash for Yapie credits — similar to the mobile-money agents many people already use. Agents need identity verification before they can operate, and each transaction is recorded on both sides.
Safety
- A wallet PIN is required for every transfer and payout.
- Transfers and agent transactions appear in your wallet history with the other person's name.
- Wallet features are available after you verify an email address or phone number.
- Never share your PIN or a sign-in code with anyone — Yapie staff will never ask for it.
Tips and money packets
- Tip creators on Discover posts and channels.
- Send money packets in groups: set an amount and the number of packets, and members claim them.
