Stop Unwanted Calls on Your Messenger

Spam calls, late-night calls and calls from strangers — limit who can call you, use quiet hours with exceptions, and block and report persistent callers.

Messenger calls are free — which means spammers love them too. Here's how to take control.

1. Who can call me

**Settings › Privacy & security › Who can call me**: - **Everyone** - **My contacts** - **Nobody**

People outside your choice can still message you (subject to your messaging settings) but can't ring you.

2. Quiet hours

**Settings › Notifications & sounds › Quiet hours** silences notifications between times you choose, for example 22:00–07:00. You can allow specific people to reach you anyway — open their profile and switch on **Can reach me during quiet hours** (great for parents or a partner).

3. Mute a chat

Muted chats don't ring loudly or buzz for messages. Mute for 1 hour, 8 hours, a week or forever.

4. Block and report

Open the chat or profile › **Block** (and **Report** if it's spam). Blocked people can't call or message you.

5. Confirm before calling

Yapie asks before placing calls by default — a small guard against accidental video calls from your own pocket.

6. Hide your activity

Limit **last seen** and **online** status to contacts so strangers don't know when you're available.
