Digital payments are fast — which scammers love. Learn their scripts and they lose their power.

Common scams

1. "I sent money to you by mistake"

You get a fake "payment received" SMS or screenshot, then a request to send it back. **Check your Wallet history** — screenshots and SMS can be faked.

2. Overpayment refund

A "buyer" pays more than the price and asks you to refund the difference. The original payment later disappears.

3. Pay to receive

"You've won a prize — pay the delivery fee." Real prizes don't require payment.

4. Impersonated relative

A new number or hacked account: "It's me, phone broke, send money urgently." **Call** the person on their usual number.

5. Investment and task scams

Guaranteed daily returns, crypto doubling, paid "likes". Early small payouts hook you before the big loss.

6. Fake support

"Your wallet is blocked — share your PIN/OTP to unblock." Support never asks.

Rules that stop almost every scam

1. **Never share** your wallet PIN or any code. 2. **Never pay to receive** money, prizes, jobs or loans. 3. **Verify by voice** before sending money to someone "in trouble". 4. **Check your real balance**, not screenshots. 5. **Slow down** — urgency is a red flag. 6. **Report and block** scammers.

If you've been scammed

1. Report the transaction via **Settings › Help & support** immediately. 2. **Report the account** in the chat. 3. Contact your **bank** if cards or bank accounts were involved. 4. File a complaint with local cybercrime authorities.

Frequently asked questions

Ignore screenshots; check your wallet history in the app to confirm money actually arrived.
