Fix Late Notifications on Xiaomi, Samsung, Oppo, Vivo and Realme

Android phone makers add aggressive battery savers that stop apps in the background — the main reason chat messages arrive late. Here's where to find the settings on popular brands. Menu names vary slightly by version.

#Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO (MIUI / HyperOS)

1. **Settings › Apps › Manage apps › [app] › Battery saver** → **No restrictions**. 2. **Settings › Apps › Manage apps › [app] › Autostart** → on. 3. Open Recents, long-press the app → **Lock** (padlock). 4. **Settings › Apps › Manage apps › [app] › Notifications** → allow, including lock screen and floating notifications.

#Samsung (One UI)

1. **Settings › Apps › [app] › Battery** → **Unrestricted**. 2. **Settings › Battery › Background usage limits** → make sure the app isn't in **Sleeping** or **Deep sleeping** apps; add it to **Never sleeping apps**. 3. Turn off **Put unused apps to sleep** if messages are still late.

#Oppo and Realme (ColorOS / Realme UI)

#Infinix and Tecno (XOS / HiOS)

1. **Settings › Apps › [app] › Battery** → **No restrictions**. 2. Phone Master / Power Marathon → add the app to the **whitelist** or **protected apps**. 3. Enable **Auto-start**.

#Stock Android, Pixel, Nokia, Motorola

**Settings › Apps › [app] › App battery usage** → **Unrestricted**.
