Set Up Employee Attendance in 10 Minutes (Step by Step)

You can have attendance running before lunch. Here's the whole setup.

#1. Create your organisation (2 minutes)

1. Tap the **Me / Work** switch to enter **Work**. 2. Create an organisation with your company name. 3. You're the **owner**. Add other **admins** or **HR** later.

#2. Set working rules (2 minutes)

Open **Work › Organisation › Settings**: - **Time zone** (UTC offset in minutes — Pakistan is 300). - **Work hours** — e.g. 09:00 to 18:00. - **Late after (grace minutes)** — e.g. 15. - **Weekend** — tap the days off (e.g. Sat, Sun or just Sun).

#3. Add your office (2 minutes)

1. Stand inside the office. 2. Under **Office locations**, tap **Add where I am**. 3. Name it ("Head office") and choose a **radius** (e.g. 150 m). 4. Repeat at each branch or site.

#4. Remote check-in (30 seconds)

Turn **Allow remote check-in** on for field or home-based teams; leave it off to require on-site check-in.

#5. Save

Your changes are drafts until you tap **Save changes** in the bar at the bottom. Not happy? **Discard** puts everything back.

#6. Add departments (1 minute)

Create departments (Sales, Operations, Accounts) and set a **head of department**. Employees' **line managers** handle their approvals.

#7. Invite your team (2 minutes)

Share the organisation's **invite code**. Staff open Work, enter the code and join. Assign their department and role.

#Daily use

- Employees tap **Check in** on arrival and **Check out** when leaving. - Managers and HR see who's in, late or absent, and export **PDF/CSV**.
